Short Loops: Attitash and Experimental Forest 9:00 am

Tuesday, May 31, 2022

The forecast is for 50% chance of rain starting around 11:00. It could be possible to get a relatively short ride in before any precipitation. It also could be possible that the rain comes in earlier. So, here is a plan and we won't know until tomorrow what the weather will really be.

The plan is to meet at the Attitash parking lot, far western end, at 9:00 am, Ready to Ride.  We will start by riding a loop on the dirt trails near the river. We pop out at Thorne Pond, and then ride to Bear Notch Road. Shortly after the gate, we we take a right onto a dirt Experimental Forest Road and do a counterclockwise loop that brings us back to Bear Notch Road about a mile up. We then ride down the road and go back to our cars at Attitash.

If the rain starts earlier we can cut this shorter. If the rain is delayed, we can enjoy a good morning ride in the woods! It would be nice to get a ride in because the rest of the week looks wet...we have to pay for the nice weather we have been enjoying lately, I guess!

A mountain bike, gravel bike or hybrid is good for this ride.

If the rain comes early, the ride will be cancelled.
